Description

The Corona Australis Molecular Cloud Wide-Field

After 3 months of not getting anywhere with this data, I have finally gotten to a point where I am happy with it!

The main issues associated with this data was the amount of severe chromatic aberrations that are caused by my Radian 61, which I only managed to learn that my Radian 61 was affected after OPT shut their doors, so unfortunately I cannot do anything about it now, but thanks to the amazing AstroBin community, I have implemented ways effective ways in processing to basically reduce the chromatic aberrations to a point where it is not taking away from the photo.  I am extremely thankful for everyone's suggestions on my forum post containing many handy tips and tricks to deal with severe chromatic aberrations like this.

Now that this data has been processed, my main objective now is to try and find ways of mitigating the chromatic aberrations naturally, and I do have in mind some items that I might end up getting such as the Baader Semi-APO Filter to help. In the end, I am glad that this has finally been resolved so I can actually use my Radian 61 for broadband targets now in addition to narrowband imaging.
