Description

It seems remarkable to me that you can image an astronomical object that is faint enough to not only be invisible to the naked eye, but also undiscernible in a calibrated individual sub-exposures. This image is my first attempt to image the rosette nebula, which based on my calculations has a single-sub SNR of less than 1.0 from my backyard in a Bortle 8 zone - which is why I call it the intermediate rosette. I look forward to improving on this in the future!
