Description

An expectedly clear(wish) night last night, allowed to try another experiment with my my camera rig, while I was collecting data with the 'scope on Barnard's galaxy.
This time, I thought I might try out the L-enhance filter which I bought early on in my hobby, but have not used to date.   Under Bortle 3, I thought it would be largely unnecessary, but wanted to see if it would improve contrast of nebulae against Milky Way background.

So what better place to try than the region from the Serpent to the Lagoon?  It also serves a little bit as a farewell to this part of the sky  until next winter.    There is such a lot to image here, and this mosaic will help me identify targets for next winter.  Lots of things here I missed this year.

In total I managed at least an hour in each panel, although the central panel suffered a bit from haze and halos around the stars.

Despite a rudimentary processing, I think it has come out OK.  Possibly too much saturation, but I am using a narrow band filter after all.
