Description

Going through older data as latest imaging attempts are so disappointing...

This unprocessed gem has been hiding on my hard drive for the past three years.  Although I've derotated images from that night I failed to notice this early 4 minute run.

Olympus Mons caldera is approaching the eastern limb, it appears cloud free. To its south white orographic clouds cover two Tharsis volcanos (Arsia and Pavonis Mons). Sinus Gomer and Elysium Mons are rising in the west. Plenty of detail on show across Mare Cimmerum and Mare Sirenum, including Newton Crater (dark circular feature near terminator).

Captured shortly after midnight on Mon 28 Sep 2020 AEST. Just over 2000 frames so fairly robust DNR.
