Description

This image is a recent reprocessing of the data that I capture in March and April of 2022.  I really enjoy going back to older data sets when the skies have been uncooperative in providing access to fresh photons and armed with a more keen understanding of post-processing and some new tricks am able to produce something that really stands apart from my initial efforts.

Also, can't help but throw in not just because I worked for Tak America for almost 4 years, but because of the TOA performance on it's own.  The Takahashi TOA series are some of the best available refractors in their class being produced, if not the best in regards to performance (CA, spot diagram, etc).  The TOA 645 Flattener is one of the biggest performance upgrades you can incorporate in your TOA system that allows you to make the most of the newest imaging camera's available.  With it's 60mm fully illuminated image circle you have full-illumination when using a full-frame sensor or up to the IMX461 and just a bit of vignette at the corners if utilizing the 150MP IMX411 sensor.

What are some images you guys have done this where in the rendition of an image for an old data set far surpassed your initial result?

Clear Skies!!
