Description

This was the first outing for both the Apertura 90mm APO (Stellamira clone) and the ASIAIR Plus. 

I set up the ASIAIR to capture R, G, B, and Ha. The first night was clear until the Ha sequence started, then I suffered Catastrophic Loss Of Unprocessed Data (CLOUD). But since the weather doesn't read the weather report, we had a partially clear second night. I set up again, this time shooting the Ha channel first. Which was good because the clouds rolled in during the first Red frame. So over two nights, I got one night's worth of data. 

The Ha was combined with each channel using Pixinsight's PixelMath as follows:
RED = 0.5 * Ha + 0.5 * red
GRN = 0.05 * Ha + 0.95 * green
BLU = 0.1 * Ha + 0.9 * blue

Ha was used for the luminance layer.

Addendum: I used David Ault's method of reducing Alnitak's halo as outlined here: http://trappedphotons.com/blog/?p=616 and did further reprocessing.
