Nebular gases are displayed using an HSO color palette.  Broadband RGB stars were blended into the starless narrowband image.

The western and eastern portions of the sprawling Veil Nebula are shown here in a single two-pane mosaic.  I imaged these two regions individually during summer 2022.  Over the recent winter break, I finally had some spare time to stitch them together into a single image showing a more-encompassing view of the object.

The total Veil Complex with an angular diameter of more than 3 degrees is still a bit larger than what I have captured here in my 150' by 186' FOV.

I processed and stretched the 3 narrowband channels separately before combining them into a composite color image.  During nonlinear stretching, I strived to retain as much of the faint nebulosity in the corners and outer regions as possible.  More of these faint signals are situated in the periphery of the FOV than in the center due to our edge-on-view 2D perspective of this roughly spherical 3D object.
