Description

This is my second iteration on the subject, the first being more than a decade old and with rather poor results (NGC1491 LHaRGB ( andrea tasselli ) - AstroBin). The main issue here is that the core of the nebula is rather bright in both Hb and OIII as well as in Ha but the remainder is rather very weak and would require tens of hours (on the MN) to do it proper justice. Being that other targets were beckoning I decided to cut it short (foul weather and all that) and live with what I had. Further iterations will go toward NB imaging to complement this broadband image.

For those with an inquiring mind, to the extreme right side near the border (mid) there is a post main sequence star (IRAS 04021+5119) which shows significant emission lines (OIII, SII and Ha in the main, visible spectrum) and is shrouded by the "puffed-out" outer shell now in the process of becoming a nebula.
