Description

For a long time and I would like to capture this amazing galaxy. This strange looking galaxy is Centaurus A galaxy NGC5128. It is a Southern hemisphere target which means it appears really low over horizon if imaged from Northern hemisphere. It was supposed to be a galactic collision between two galaxies, one elliptical and one spiral galaxy. This galaxy is so bright and it has very active nucleus that produce very energetic X-rays & Radio waves. It’s 11-13 Million light years from us. Gear setup: Celestron HD 8 @ f/7, iOptron GEM 45, Celestron OAG, Baader UV / IR cut Filter 1.25, ZWO EFW 1.25 x 5, ZWO 174MM, ZWO 294 MC @ -10, 60 x 180 subs, 20 Flats, 20 Darks, 50 Bias. Total exposure 3 hours. Captured by APT, PHD2. Stacked in APP, Processed in PI & PS. Captured from Bortle 4 sky class.
