Description

First decent results with my „vintage“ C8. Luna was at 45 degrees elevation and in the Part of my sky where the seeing is usually decent.

I assembled my imaging train in the usual short way so that my Barlow gives me 1.8x magnification. This puts the scope at f/18, which is okay for my ASI224MC. The ADC was in the neutral position and functioned as an extension tube only.

Manually tracked on my SkyTee2 (works okay, but I am looking forward to my OnStep modification). Image shift during focusing is there, but tolerable. I only collimated the scope visually, for a collimation with the imaging train I need tracking.

Shown here are the best portions of a larger mosaic. Stacked in AutoStakkert, sharpened in Registax, deconvolvef in AstroSurface and assembled in AffinityPhoto.
