Description

I took advantage of an upcoming print to completely redo the processing of this astro image which remains one of my favorites, in any case the most emblematic.

It was almost 5 years ago, I was enjoying a perfect night on the other side of the world, far from thinking that a few years later going there again would become so problematic...

I like this image because it is the memory of a magical night: once the deep sky acquisitions were completed, the Zodiacal Light became so present that it was almost a source of light pollution . I didn't resist to immortalize the Milky Way center at its zenith which fully justifies a trip to the other side of the world.

The planet Mars dominates the starry arch while to its left comet 252P / LINEAR appears as an emerald colored dot. The SMC is also on the pic, bathed in the airglow.
