Description

The first image of 2023 is the result of the collaboration with 2 amateur astrophotographer friends. In fact, for this year I had in mind of doing the Rosette Nebula in the Hubble Palette rendition but in the end I changed plans. However, the idea kept flashing through my head, so I asked them if they could lend me some Sulfur () to mix with my signal from last year, taken with the L_eNhance filter.
The picture you see is made up of signals taken with 3 different setups and from 3 different skies ranging from Bortle 5 in Salento to the terrible Bortle 8 in Turin (passing through my Bortle 6/7 in Ferrara). In practice, this Rosetta has been taken up from Italy from top to bottom.

The Rosette Nebula (also known as NGC 2237 and C 49) is a large emission region located in the constellation Unicorn. At the center of the nebula is a bright open cluster, known as NGC 2244, whose blue stars emit ultraviolet radiation that excites the gas in the nebula to emit light.
