Description

The Western Veil Nebula ✨✨✨ (a.k.a the Witch's Broom) & Pickering's Triangle are part of a massive supernova remnant cloud in the Cygnus constellation. Relatively close at 2,100ly away, the supernova happened about 8,000 years ago and would have been visible to the naked eye. The Witch's Broom has the super bright star 52 Cygni in the top middle and Pickering's Triangle is the wispy triangular shape mid-bottom left. 7.5 hours @400mm f/2 in bicolor H-α and OIII.
