Description

Moonrise of the Flower Moon on Tuscany hills. In folklore, the full moon in May is known as the Flower Moon because it occurs as spring blossoms in the Northern Hemisphere. The name is attributed to the Algonquin people of North America. This will be the closest full moon in 2021, with “only” 357,458 km distance from the Earth.
