Description

This is roughly 10hrs Sii, 7hrs Ha and 7hrs Oiii on the classic target in the Large Magellanic Cloud.

What impressed me the most about this nebula comes from ESA website: "The Tarantula is the largest stellar nursery we know in the local Universe. In fact if this enormous complex of stars, gas and dust were at the distance of the Orion Nebula it would be visible during the day and cover a quarter of the sky."

Also, in the lower right corner there's the supernova 1987a, the closest supernova that has been observed since the invention of the telescope.

EDIT: the raw calibrated data are much better than my final result. If someone is interested in re-elaborating the image just send me a PM.
