Description

I was delighted again, trying to best deal with the raw data provided so amicably by Jim Misti, whom I thank again.

From what I have read about it, M51, also known as the Whirlpool Galaxy is a couple of galaxies, about 27.4 million a.l. from Earth in the constellation Canes Venatici, consisting of a massive regular spiral galaxy with an estimated diameter of 100,000 light-years and a small, irregular galaxy. It was discovered in 1773 by Charles Messier. Its easily visible spiral arms have earned it the nickname

" Whirlpool ". A supernova was observed in the galaxy in 1994, another in 2005, and a third appeared on June 1, 2011, according to the French magazine "Heaven and Space".

For this treatment, I used 3 software, IRIS, Siril, and Photoshop.

Iris allows me to process LRGB images in Fit format: bottom level of the sky, dynamic enhancement and contrast adjustment.

Siril used me mainly to combine RGB channels , color balancing treatments and background level.

I then realized the combination L and RGB with Photoshop and all the adjustments necessary to get a presentable image, I hope.

Thank you for any comments and/or advice.
