Description

Casitas de Gila, Gila, NM, October 8 - 11, 2023

LBN 437, the Gecko or Lizard, is a molecular cloud in the constellation Lacerta (the Lizard!).  In the background is a small portion of the red hydrogen emission region known as the Great Lacerta nebula that is illuminated by intense UV radiation from the star 10 Lac.  SH2-125/LBN 437 are about 1200 light years from Earth.
