Description

The Bubble Nebula (NGC 7635) is an HII region in the constellation Cassiopeia about 7,100 light years away. Its iconic “bubble” shape was created from the stellar wind created by the intensely hot central star. The Bubble itself is about 10 light-years in diameter.  This image i actually initially tried at 180 second exposures, but i didn't like the detail (nor did DSS as it struggled with the stacking) I was getting on the Oiii and Sii subs, so i redid the project at 300 second subs.   I might have push the Local Histogram Transformation a bit...., but it was a different look that I rarely do, and to my eyes, I enjoyed it and it was another step in learning the SHO palette.
