These are the main galaxies in the NGC5982 g galaxy group in Draco. The main galaxies, from bottom to top, are NGC5985 (spiral), NGC5982 (elliptical), NGC5981 (edge on spiral) and NGC5976 (smaller edge on spiral). Imaged in RGB over nine nights in April-May 2023 from backyard observatory under light-polluted urban skies. Integration time of 4.7 hours, consisting of 60s subframes. Had to discard a large number of subs due to smoke haze, high altitude clouds and tracking errors and would have liked more subs, including some Ha, but will need to wait until next year.

Processing in Pixinsight using NormalizedScaleGradients followed by two DBE runs to remove light pollution gradients, then BlurX and, NoiseX on RGB master. Used StarrX to separate stars and then stretched starless and star images using many GeneralizedHyperbolicStretches. Recombined stars and galaxies and did some final tweaks with CurvesTransform and UnsharpMask.
