Description

Elusive Mercury.

Imaging at twilight, Sun just set.

C11, f/25, ASI 120 MM-S, tried LRGB, no luck in focusing, decided to use only L, R and IR.

At near 7 arcsec diameter, there are a surprising amount of features to see. Not so easy to identify anything...

The top images are from WinJupos, the right one was gaussian blurred at 4 pixels, and gives a good simulation, with good match with the L, IR (685 nm), R images bellow.

Most notably is the Tolstoj formation, a crater with an extensive dark halo, which is common as mercurian craters goes. The big Caloris Planitia, up north is barely recognizable, but it is there.
