Sh2-302 in R/HaGB

Some of the Sharpless objects do not really show very interesting nebulosity, I still think though that they are worth shooting (especially if you want to have as many Sharpless objects as possible one day 😊)! Knowing that the O and S channels would not provide anything, I stayed with the RGB combination, enhanced in red with some Hα data. Surprisingly one could actually see the nebula fairly well in the red channel, but the Hα made it shine more.

Since it is not a spectacular nebula I focused again on the stars, a lot of experiments how to make them shine. And again, still not as shiny as I would like to see them, but at least I could get the color saturation done fairly well. I decided to add again as many stars as I could see in the subs, maybe not the most favorite view by many, but I think they belong in the final image. Have to find some methods to make them more point like, not successful in that so far.

Integration time pretty low since I ran out of time with this target in the evenings very quickly (tree starts to block the view), so every night a bit more than 1 hour. At least I was spoiled with 5 days in a row of clear skies, this seems to be sensational by now. The last 3 weeks were really awful, cold and rainy ... in Florida's April, unheard of if you ask me!!
