Description

Eastern Veil Nebula

One part of an large supernova remnant that spans 3 degrees of the sky in the constellation of Cygnus.

Imaged using narrow band filters of Hydrogen Alpha, Oxygen 3, and Sulphur 2, and with R/G/B filters for the star colors. 30 minute exposures through the Ha/O3/S2 filters, and 5 minute exposures through the R/G/B. A two panel mosaic to capture this segment.

Telescope used was the Orion ED80 CFT which is an 80 mm refractor, with an Atik 314L+ mono ccd camera. Image acquisition was using Sequence Generator Pro, and image processing using PixInsight.
