Description

This is the final chassis version. Went to carbon fiber to save weight. Zed depth camera is providing the guidance functions along with a inertial motion unit and gps. Just getting the software all tuned up and writing in some custom stuff for displays etc now. Changed out the motors for more powerful units. The old ones were a bit too small and ran very hot. With the new motors the top speed is just under 20mph. The Autonomous Vehicle Contest I'm building this to win requires speed. After watching some videos of last years contest I decided I needed a little more go. The ends of the outriggers are adjustable now for right height and wheelbase. In racing trim its all level and has the max wheelbase and lowest CG. Just about time to get the scope out here. Finally cooling off although this weekend its horrible with the hurricane in Mexico causing massive storms. F1 weekend too. Hope I get to go on Sunday.
