Description

Taking from SH latitude 37S - M45 - Pleiades - The Seven Sisters needs no introduction - an open cluster of hot B-type stars located in the constellation Taurus. The nebula is otherwise named Maia Nebula after the star. M45 is not associated with the blue nebulosity, behind which the constellation is drifting and illuminating. M45 is rich in folk lore and mentioned in the important books (Wkipedia - a good write up).

This is not the easiest area to image. There appears to be a significant field of dust, which is not easily captured.

A complete reprocess reveals more dust in this region.

Originally processed in Pixinsight, I have revisited many of my images with Siril for Linux, mainly preprocessing.
