Samyang Spotting Scope

Description

Tadaaa, here's the answer to the question I raised in the Lumia picture of the moon posted here previously:

http://www.astrobin.com/295346/

It was a simple look through an eyepiece, adapted to the Samyang 135mm f/2 lens.

I'd like to present you here my latest add-on project for this great lens. It's designed for 1.25" eyepiece lenses. My goal was to increase the usability of the lens for visual observations, and I have to admit, it works great! It can replace my old 8x50 spotting scope, no it disrupts it!

At the moment I'm also working on a version for the Sony E mount to support a wider range of lenses.

As usually, the project is hosted at github:

Description: I bought the Samy 135mm lens not only in the cine version with declicked iris and gear wheel rings, but also with a DSLR mount which had a large free back focal length. In my case I decided to buy the Sony Alpha/ Minolta AF (MAF) version of the Samy. For my eyepiece adapter I disassembled a cheap chinese brand MAF adapter and transferred the Minolta mount ring to my adapter. It's even fixed with the original screws, but in a next version I'll take self-cutting screws for plastic.
