Description

M13 - Globular cluster in Hercules. Photo taken Friday, August 3, 2018 from discreet sky.

Note the different colors of the stars in the cluster.

M13 contains several hundred thousand stars, the brightest of which is magnitude 11.95. Around its core, the stars are about 500 times more concentrated than in the surroundings of the solar system. The age of M 13 was estimated between 12 and 14 billion years. Its distance from the Earth is 23.157 light years. Appearing so bright to such a great distance, its real brightness is very high, over 300,000 times that of the Sun. (Cit. Wikipedia)
