Description

Did some light post-processing of Messier object #3, one of the three globular clusters I EAA observed from a couple of days ago as a first light from my new, stupidly light-polluted Bortle 6-7 backyard with extra LED flood lights and car lights parking around me.. This is a 16minute total integration of medium gain, 30 second exposures using SharpCap Livestack.

M3 is 33.9kly away in the constellation of Canes Venatici. Estimated at 8 billion years old and made up of about half a million suns, it is one of the brightest and largest clusters in our sky.

You can also see the faint, small galaxy NGC 5263 on the top left of the cluster, see if you can find it.
