Description

IC63 the Phantom Nebula (the bright objecy, up on the image) and IC59 (the weaker object, down of the image), they are both illuminated by the B0 IV star , Gamma Cas. Distance from earth is about 600 light years.

Quite satisfied with the result

They are challenging objects for a number of reasons.

Both nebulae are faint with mag. +10, and surround by the bright variable star gamma Cas (γ Cas) with mag. +2.15, that in the capture and edition , raised some problems with the dynamic range that the photo demanded.
