Revision title: Reprocessed with comet registration

My final image of last weekend, cut short by a an unexpected deluge of rain - I’d gone to bed! Fortunately my Pi was in its waterproofs and whilst everything else was wet it seems to have dried out well.

Another comet, this time ploughing through the wonderful galaxy fields of the Virgo super cluster. Comet 62P/ Tsuchinshan, discovered in 1965, is ~76m km away, observed by me some 4 minutes later. It is perfectly placed in our morning skies, and despite the abrupt end to my session, I was pleased to get 1.5 hours.

Captured using my portable setup, and processed in Siril - I spent some time trying to improve the detail in this glorious field, being careful not to over stretch/ saturate, as my revision, with a simple crop for a closer look (mouseover). Title: A more sympathetic stretch

Description: My original is rather harsh - over-stretched and saturated losing detail in the fine galaxies surrounding this comet. This version is stretched more carefully, using deep sky details AI tools to improve the background. I extracted the channels in the starmask and then recombined with Pixel Math 0.2*R, 0.8*G and 1.0*B before deconvolution. and gentle stretching and recomposition.
