Description

This is a relatively difficult object to get a pleasing narrowband image, due to the strong interplay of Oxygen and Hydrogen in the nebula. With OIII as blue, the Hydrogen channel will tend to wash out, whether it's green or red. That said, the OIII presence in this Wolf-Rayet star's environment is truly interesting. It forms a sheath around the Hydrogen emission.

Image acquired at Sugar Grove Observatory, a facility of Twin City Amateur Astronomers (tcaa.us).
