Description

Grabbed a quick image of the Taranrtula Nebula before the moon got too high. We have not had too many clear nights for a long while here so jamping at every chance to get some imaging time.
The Tarantula Nebula (NGC2070 or 30 Doradus) lies around 160,000 LY from Earth. This highly energetic non stellar  object is so bright, if it were as close to us as the Orion Nebula, it would cast shadows in the night.
Processed as RGB and belnded witth a 50/50 combination of L and Ha.
Split the colour channels again and blended some Ha to the red channel before recombining and adding back the stars.
