Description

This object is a small reflection nebula located 1000 light years away in the constellation of Cassiopeia at a declination of +69 degrees.  The nebula surrounds the orange star HD 3037, which is an 8.4 magnitude star.  The nebula is 3 arc-minutes long, which at that distance corresponds to a length of 1 light year.

The nebula has an interesting cylindrical-type shape, with an apparent preference in the up and down direction instead of being a sphere surrounding the star.  This is the 2nd image of this object posted on Astrobin.
