Description

This is a composition/vertical panorama of two pictures taken at the beginning and the end of the same night session, showing both parts of zodiacal light plane forming 60° angle with the Milky Way because of solar system's inclination from our galaxy plane, crowned with Jupiter at the beginning of the night (upper photo) and with Venus at its end (lower photo).

Sky conditions change slightly over the night so the airglow pattern and horizon gradiente looks different on both pictures. Also, the lower one had to be rotated a little to match the sky, so the ground appears a bit bent. However, you can still observe the same trees on both pictures, as well as the dome of 2 meter telescope of the National Observatory of San Pedro Martir, Baja California, Mexico, where the pictures were taken.
