Description

I've mostly stuck to brighter objects before this, so this was my first attempt at capturing that really faint dust.  Unfortunately, I had to throw out almost two hours of data, most of it since I didn't want to wait for the scope to cool down before starting to take images.  But, so far I'm happy with this result.  This nebula has a special meaning to me, as it was on of the cover of a book filled with Hubble images, and that started my fascination with space.

The Iris Nebula (NGC 7023/Cadwell4) is a reflection nebula located in the constellation Cepheus.  The Nebula is illuminated by a magnitude +7.4 star which is designated as HD 200775.

Description: I recently acquired a new tool, specifically NoiseXTerminator, and I am stunned at how well this program has worked. I look forward to using it in the future.
