Description

Two small but interesting galaxies, NGC 7537 and NGC 7541, in Pisces.
I was inspired to image this small and faint pair from Phil Harrington's October Cosmic Challenge:

https://www.cloudynights.com/articles/cat/column/phil-harrington-s/cosmic-challenge-ngc-7537-and-ngc-7541-r3356

The larger galaxy on the upper left, NGC 7541, is 104 million light years distant, and NGC 7537 is 127 million light years away.
Both were discovered by William Herschel in 1785.

Apparently, the core of NGC 7541 is designated as NGC 7581.
This is not that surprising, since William Herschel also designated several "NGC's" within galaxy M33 (NGC 588, 592, 595, 603, and 604)
