Description

There are very few images of Sh2-133 on Astrobin, and even fewer of the blue reflection nebula LBN472 next to it. Maybe it is because they are not far from the Iris Nebula and all the bright and beautiful nebulosity there get all the attention. Like Sh2-133 the blue nebulosity of LBN472 is quite faint, so best imaged with a fast instrument.

I have not found much information about Sh2-133 except that it together with several other Ha objects, including the Elephant Trunk Nebula, makes up the Cepheus bubble, a gigantic ring of Ha nebulosity covering 10° of the sky (https://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1086/306305/fulltext/37648.text.html).

This was imaged with the IDAS NBZ dual-band filter passing Ha and Oiii. However, as I have experienced before this filter is broad enough to let through blue reflection nebulosity in addition to Oiii.
