Description

This Astrobin Debut Object is a small, dim planetary nebula is located in the constellation of Aquila at a declination of +3 degrees.  Also known as PK036-01.2, it spans 12 arc-seconds in our apparent view.

I could find no information on this PN.  It is one of 14 low surface brightness planetary nebulae cataloged by Hartl and Tritton in 1983.

The PN is primarily HII signal, although OIII is also present.

The structure of this PN is interesting and unique.  My image is similar to the only other image I have found of this PN, seen here

Bright edges are clearly visible in irregular shapes, while the body is only faintly seen in a rough circular shape.  My guess is that this PN is a distant multipolar PN and that we are only seeing the brightest edges of the arc fronts.  As an analogy, look at Minkowski 2-52 and imagine if it were much further away and dimmer.
