Description

The Deer Lick Group  is in the upper right corner of the image with the most prominent galaxy in this visual grouping being NGC 7331. NGC 7331 is an unbarred spiral galaxy approximately 40 million light-years away in the constellation Pegasus. The other 4 galaxies are NGC 7335, NGC 7336, NGC 7337 and NGC 7340.  These 4 galaxies are incredibly farther away at distances approximately between 294 to 365 million light-years away.
In the bottom left is Stephan’s Quintet, a visual grouping of five galaxies, NGC 7320 which is approximately 40 million light-years from Earth, galaxies NGC 7317, NGC 7318A, NGC 7318B and NGC 7319 are approximately 290 million light-years away. The four distant galaxies are connected to each other through gravity.
Being able to take images of these incredibly distant galaxies is just amazing!
