Description

The Perseus Molecular Cloud is a young star forming region about 1000 light years distant in the Milky Way.
The cloud is compressing under its own gravity, heating, and forming new stars.
Left of center is the Phantom Tiara or Embryo Nebula where temperatures are sufficient to trigger fusion and therefore new stars.
Perhaps 150 of them are embedded in the dark nebula and they have a median age of only a million years (Wikipedia).

Emission line observations show very little here so this is a broad band red, green, blue image Spanning 4.9° across.
