Description

This target was one of the early targets I did when I was just starting out (about a year and a half ago maybe?) and when I was less experienced and using a modified Nikon (with no additional filters), this target looked more like Pacman. Now, you can see the detailed dust in front and more of the dispersed nebulosity around the edges, making Pacman look like he needs a haircut and a mouth full of dust. I really like redoing targets from early on to watch my progression, and to see the effects the equipment and software has. In another year or two, I'll revisit Pacman and see how much better he looks then!

Pacman Nebula is a bright emission nebula, 9,459 light years form earth in the Perseus Spiral Arm and can be viewed in Cassiopeia. It is 48 light years across.
