Hi all, Last year I purchased one of Farpointastro's 1.25" collimation kits. Very happy with the quality of the chesire and laser (perfectly collimated). However, I recently adventured to install the red triangle center spot on my primary and ran into some problems. Triangle center spot comes with the kit and it helps collimating the primary using the chesire eyepiece. First the outline of the 6inch mirror on the template didn't seem to be a perfect circle. So I corrected for that with a marker and got the triangle on the mirror. Now my main problem is that when in focus with the ccd camera the stars have a triangular shape. I've tried and tried again and again and can't seem to get round stars anymore. Could it be the triangle sticker that's affecting focus or is it pinched optics? Scope is a skywatcher 150pds, no coma corrector. Please help, it's been a very frustrating experience on a very cold night.  Thank you, Tudor |

Got the answer from Farpointastro. Triangle is not in the centre of the mirror. It's got to come off. |
