This will be my third time photographing an eclipse and my second total eclipse. This time around, I want to capture the diamond ring but am afraid of accidentally damaging my gear since the diamond ring is shot without a filter in place. I'm planning to image the crescent phases and totality with my 10" Newtonian and 102 mm refractor but I'm afraid of focusing too much light with those scopes and cooking my cameras. Am I correct to worry or can I safely use these scopes? Thoughts? Suggestions?
