Scott:
Hello,
It seems to me a lot of imagers also have experience in music. I'm a drummer for the last 30 years, I can also  play keyboards, trombone, and sousaphone not at a professional level.

Hi Scott,

Was my post not appropriate to the Musical Imagers forum?  Not sure why it was moved...

Thanks,
Jerry

I'm new to Astrobin and also a musician and guitar player mostly. My Mom brought home a cheap classical guitar when I was 12. She was a part-time professional keyboard player with the Hammond B3 being her favorite. She set me up with a friend and professional guitar player for some lessons and the first riff I learned was the Beatles Day Tripper. At that point I was hooked.

Now at almost 65 I'm surprised to still be playing well and learning and improving. Unlike volleyball and swimming, which were favorite sports that I no longer can do very well, guitar seems to be something that may last until I'm a really old man.

Currently I'm playing mostly acoustic with a Lowden F32C being the favorite. My first new guitar was a Takamine F360 purchased in 1977, known as the Martin lawsuit model. The total collection is five acoustics, five electrics and a mandolin.

For music style I'd say a mix of blues and Americana.
