Pierazzo is the most beautiful raycrater on the moon. Unfortunately its location is just "behind" the moon's western limb, north of Mare Orientale, which means, we with our telescopes can't see it. Or... perhaps... with a bit-o'-luck it might be possible to observe the most eastern part of its ejectablanket during very favourable libration. The coordinates of Pierazzo itself (the impact crater) are 3°20' North / 100°15' West, east-northeast of crater Lenz. Seen from Earth, the most western one of the named craters on the moon's near side, at 3° North, is Hedin (aka Sven Hedin), which means that observers of the moon who want to get a glimpse of Pierazzo's ejectablanket (the most eastern part of it) should keep an eye on the region west of Hedin. Alas, Hedin is not an eye catching crater, it is more a "would be" crater. The two (much more eye catching) craters east of Hedin (Hevelius and Cavalerius) could be used as landmarks to get to the eastern part of Pierazzo's ejectablanket.
The best circumstances to observe high-albedo formations at and near the moon's western limb are, of course, just after Full Moon and all the days before the very old Waning Crescent Moon.
I am looking for telescopic photographs of the moon's western limb region near Hedin, made during very favourable libration. Alas... Astrobin's SEARCH doesn't know Hedin.
Perhaps YOU know one or more good photographs which could show something of the (most eastern part of) Pierazzo's ejectablanket...

Thanks Andrea! Imagine... an unmanned (360° camera-eyed) rover crawling all the way around on the rim of this fresh and sharp impact crater (clockwise or anti-clockwise). What a splendid panorama it must be, to look at the crater's inner slopes during a whole lunation, from local sunrise to local sunset. I want to go to the moon, or... I want to build my own rocket and camera-eyed lunar rover.
