Hi,  I'm CaleyAnn, otherwise known as astronomynut.  I got addicted to astronomy when I was aged eleven, when my parents gave me my very first telescope, a 3 inch Tasco reflector.  My next telescope was purchased in about 1977, a Celestron SCT Orange flavor, which was to be my photography telescope with a film camera.  I found out just how difficult things were, especially without anyone to help me.  Gosh!  I didn't even understand polar alignment or how the clock drive worked.  I gave up, and sold the equipment a few years later.  Then about 2012-13 I got back into the hobby, and haven't looked back.   I've been hanging around AstroBin for a few years, looking at some magnificent photos, and adding my own.

But of late I have not posted much because of other commitments.  Now I am in the do it overdrive set of mine, and have decided that since this summer is supposed to be a scorcher, to forego photography until I finish up my own observatory shelter.

Currently my setup only has a surround fence to block both the wind and stray neighbors lights.  I had been using a roll-away shed to house my equipment, but life is passing yearly, and I get no younger, nor stronger, and that shed was difficult to maneuver.  So I am in the process, while foregoing photography, of building a bigger and better shelter to house my equipment, and hopefully built well enough to house additional items, as well as my body when at the computer near the telescope.  So I will not be posting photos for probably the next three to six months while all this is going on.

I will post a few photos from time to time of the construction.  CaleyAnn
