This was my first (published) attempt and with super nice data from Chile. I'm less happy with data from home but I don't have strong "signal" in all three filters and I suspect that is a requirement. Learning, experimenting... ;) |

I watched the video, and it seems the technique is a variation on CLAHE (or, in PixInsight LHE). Functionally is it the same thing? (BTW, really like your image!) |

Well without reading the paper I would say it’s local color balance, vs. local contrast enhancement. I did use a local contrast enhancement photoshop action at one point, by that’s not what makes this image processing different from what I have done in the past. |
