Description

The two galaxies NGC 672 and IC 1727 in the constellation Triangulum are barred spiral galaxies, approximately 25 million and 21 million light-years away from us.
The relatively small astronomical distance between the two galaxies is only 90,000 ly. For this reason, there is a gravitational interaction between the two, which can be clearly seen in the deformation of IC 1727.
On the right side of the image, the lenticular galaxy NGC 670 can be seen quite small, one reason for this is its enormous distance of 170 million ly from the Milky Way.
