Description

For some reason, the polar alignment routine in NiNA did not go as smoothly as in the past two sessions. That likely caused tracking a bit off-centered. The stars ended up being a bit elongated to the upper left. The noise reduction wavelet algorithm in GMIC-Qt for Gimp rendered a bit square stars anyway. This region is part of the faintest area in the Vela SNR, yet more filaments are apparent, and that makes it equally eye-catching.
I think this will end my first test on my new Skywatcher SA GTi mount targeting the Vela SNR
