Description

Like a tiny arrow, this short period comet is aimed at Aldabaran, the bulls eye. Sailing into view since my last image, the comet was discovered in 1994, and has an orbit of around 7.5 years.

It has been a real pain to process, with traditional approaches based on combining starless (registered on the comet) blended with the star field proving very difficult, due to the tiny scale and limited integration. Eventually I gave up and you are left with an image showing the green coma of the comet and another coma 1.25 hours later.

Anyway it is not worth spending more time on, but it was fun to see it barrelling towards Aldebaran.
