Description

The intention here was a 4-panel mosaic and I had collected all the data during October and November of last year. But, due to a family emergency and travel, I never go to process the individual panels before leaving SoCal. Well, now it's too late...for this season. Panel 3 was just not merging into the mosaic, whatever I tried. So, here is what I have.
The prep work for the mosaic was done using the script tools. I processed the DNB image the way I always do - Crop > gradient removal > Image Solver > Not using the stars, I first did SPCC > BXT > SXT to discard stars > 55% NXT - stretched with GHS. For the broadband image - Crop > gradient removal > BXT correct only > Image Solver > SPCC > BXT > STX keeping stars > 60% NXT > stretched with GHS. Then I used the script ImageBlend to combine the broadband image back into the DNB image. From there some curves and color saturation adjustments, local histogram equalization, noise reduction. The stars only image I stretcher with GHS to my liking and incorporated them via the screen blend method.
